Furious locals objected to an Edinburgh flat being used as an Airbnb. Over 30 Objections were raised to the plans to use the residential property for short term visitor accommodation.
However, despite their concern, the City of Edinburgh Council granted permission for the proposal on August 11 at the C-listed ground floor property on Barony Street. The local residents raised a number of objections on the planning application.
One local complained: "I feel that there's already a parking issue in the local area with residents not being able to find parking and instead, using the private street at the end of the road, blocking access to our building.
"Secondly, I feel that there are ample hotels in the local area. In fact there are four bnb's and four hotels within half a mile of this property so why does it need to be turned into a travel accommodation?"
